EYFS Homework

At St Mary Cray Primary Academy we feel it is important for children to be set engaging homework that gives them opportunities to practice and consolidate the learning that has taken place at school (across a range of subjects).

Weekly Homework

Weekly homework is set according to year group’s homework timetable. Homework is linked to the learning that you have done in class and each piece of homework should take between 20 and 30 minutes to complete. On Mathletics, remember there are always lots of different activities to complete if you have finished your homework.

Homework Club

Homework club runs on a Tuesday and Thursday after school and is for children who may struggle to complete homework at home. Attendance at the club is by invitation only, but please speak to Mrs. Haig if you think that you might benefit from this. It is your responsibility to make sure you hand your homework in on time to your teacher.

Sometimes project based learning will be set to help you learn about a new topic that you will be starting at school. This homework will normally be given over a holiday or half term.
